I have a major girl crush on this model. I’ve seen her last year in a few shows. She seems a little mature than others – I’m not saying old.. these girls are all about 10 or 15 years younger than me!

I’ve met Hendra – influential makeup artist in WA – properly for the first time.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed. Sussan launched a brand new website. I don’t know when it actually happened since I haven’t done much ‘physical’ (as supposed to virtual) shopping lately. They’ve done a really great job apart from the fact that still they are not giving us options to purchase garments online. Maybe just taking baby steps?

Interestingly, Sussan’s Spring Summer 2011 has gone all marine/beach/resort. Totally not my kind of thing. Or it’s just that I don’t feel like that’s aligned with how I’d like to dress this spring.

Retailers such as Sussan must have scanned the fashion trends world over and have had to pick a trend. Exactly a year ago, I desired everything Sussan brought out. However, this year they have taken a wrong path in my book. It’s a good thing I suppose – one less label to look out for.

One thing I’d like to try is this Lace fringe scarf. It reminds me very much of Pinchandspoon from StyleAID 2010.

As I’m looking at this I really like the look of the beige boots. Blimey.. I’m hopeless. There’s nothing else for it. I’ll just have to succumb to my desire. I’ll have to check out Betts website for the darn boots.

This magnificent pair of platform is from Betts. I might get a chance to wear a pair before they hit the Betts stores soon.

Then there were some ‘out there’ DIY modified shoes by Zoe Trotman. I heard a rumour that the polka dots shoes might become commercially available soon. Watch this space for more exciting shoes news.

Do you see his name engraved in the shirt buttons? I’m totally sold on these buttons. It is pretty obvious to me that he is designing stuff that he wants to wear. There was a series of clean-line mens wear including the white cowboy (picked as one of six ‘WTF’ designs by NY Mag).

I quite liked what he was wearing that night. He also dressed Mark Reid from WA AIDS Council.

These are what I thought interesting on the runway. Mind you I wouldn’t mind having all his (including mens) as part of my wardrobe. Why? I like his tailoring. Arj Selvam is available in For-Tomorrow.

Sunday morning. Sun is shining. We got up lazily, took a stroll down to our local eatery Secret Garden to have some breakie. I’m here sitting under the trees. Life is pretty good.

After processing all of the parade photos from StyleAID 2010 – Tribe I had a final look through to see if there is a particular design I would like to buy if I walked into a shop right now. It is the look of the moment. The flavour of the month if you like. For that I’ll have to pick this layered look by One Fell Swoop. I think I have a good eye on these things – commercial yet stylish? It turned out I wasn’t alone in liking this design. I see that people have viewed this photo more than others.

I like the colours or lack there of. I like the lines of the jacket with the stuff hanging down – what I like doing these days. I like the shoes (by Betts) and the stocking treatment. Not sure about the hair but I can just get by with my crazy style.

I would like to try this One Fell Swoop look if I could. You see StyleAID is good for you – helping, getting inspired and finding looks that work for you. Of course, there’s more. Tom Bull’s ripped body would have been more delicious to look at than the five or six course meal that was served on the night.

I knew that Zoe was special when I first met her in her ‘creative space’. That was only last year. Her designs were spotted and featured in an international online magazine this morning!!

The photos of the slide show must be from Stefan Gosatti. He was standing just in front of me on the lower deck and I remember having glimpses of these photos. NY Mag must be receiving literarily thousands of photos each day. The fact that his photos, specially Zoe’s designs were (along with Arj Selvam’s white cowboy) picked out is just incredible. I’m super proud as if I’ve won something.

There is really nothing ‘WTF’ about Lonely 8-BIT Heroes if you know Zoe Trotman. These designs are her natural state of mind. Free and fun. There’s something to learn about the energy and the creativity in her. I give a big hug to my crazy creative girl. Well done. Now, when are you going to dress me? Zozatron.
