I was born and raised in Seoul. I studied here and here until 1996 before going abroad to live in Hong Kong, Perth (my current home), Abu Dhabi and Paris. Having a Fine Arts background, I love design, fashion and anything aesthetic.

I started Style Discovery in 2008 in search of something that I have always yearned for – connection and validation.

After much trial and error I found my ‘voice’, which liberated me from constant self doubt. Here, I write my thoughts and feelings without worrying about how others perceive me.

I’m a keen observer of moments and I capture those with my words and photographs. What started out as just a blog, Style Discovery is now a larger part of my life and it is, in fact, more well known than my name or what I do for a living.

In 2011, I started Futzfield to showcase some of my photographic work. Having said no to quite a few paid photographic assignments I’ve recently decided to stop saying no. Futzfield is me saying yes to taking photos professionally.

Style Discovery is, therefore, the blog of a geek turned photographer sharing her experience as an observer of life.
