Highlights from Designer Capsule #3 at PFF 2011

Apparently, this show was sold out very quickly. There were lots of people standing to watch the show as well.

Zsadar kicked off the show with a bit of shock treatment; a female model walked out wearing a costume evening dress and she was whisked away by a kidnapper. Then the actual show began.

Of all the shows I watched One Fell Swoop is the label I covet enormously. That’s followed by Zsadar.

Vicky from Fashion Catalyst said “You’d love Shane’s stuff”. Yes, I must admit, I do. Even what I wore today matched his aesthetic.

Nothing beats the drape’ness of One Fell Swoop.

Then there was Zhivago – the label was created by a once side-kick lady from Tarvydas and a socialite of Perth. There were lots of who’s who attending the show understandably. As I’m not a dress wearing kinda girl I wasn’t coveting any of their pieces. Fierce and sexy are the words to describe Zhivago. Obviously, the local celeb endorsement will go a long way to help establish the brand. I wish I could say the same thing for all other talented local designers. I guess that’s the way cookie crumbles.

Ange Lang’s jewellery was strong as well. This was an excellent group show with diverse styles and entertainment.

Next up is S2. It seems like it’s going to be pretty much pitch black. Not sure what I would get. Stay tuned. They are playing a rain storm soundtrack and that makes me feel like going to the toilet.
