I would love Acne

Acne is available at Acne Studios but I don’t like anything that’s shown on the website. What I really love however is the Spring/Summer 2010 collection shown in Style.com. Acne is a funny name for a fashion house. Having said that it’s not all that strange knowing that it’s a Swedish label. Ikea is well known around the world for home furnishing superstore but it is a funny name too if you think about it.

The only thing I can think of enjoying these days is loose, floaty, drap-y and long comfortable jersey and cotton. Anything with movement restriction and limitation annoys me to no end. That came with after gaining about an inch around my waist. I am not sure how much weight I might have gained.. probably not very much but I cannot get into my jeans comfortably anymore. This means only one thing – I need to get back into my daily routine of exercising and stop eating bread and sweets. In the meantime I’m fully intending to enjoy wearing very forgiving and comfortable menswear and drap-y stuff.

I think it’s nearly Spring and there will be lots of opportunities to get my camera gear out and shoot parades and fashion/style exhibits. I’m part afraid as I know I may not be able to cope with the schedule. Oh well, if there’s one thing I’ve learned from running this site for more than two years is that I could only do so much.

There are lots happening outside of this virtual space. I’m in the process of buying a house. I also have to take over more than ten other projects at work because our other project manager went on a holiday for more than two weeks. That perfectly coincides with the Perth Fashion Festival. While that’s happening I also have to prepare for new topics on breakfast presentations. What? you may ask. Maybe I never mentioned here… I run a series of breakfast presentations on Social Media and eNewsletter marketing. Yes, I not only have good ol’ rant in this website but also I blather quite a bit at work. I really wish I could be more inspired by beautiful things and wore a lot more interesting stuff (that requires spending some serious amount money more often than not no matter what other frugal gals might say). However, I just can’t manage it at the moment specially when I have to work 10-11 hours a day. Anyway, if all was right and I had a little more time I would love to wear Acne. I would also love to have stuff from Paul Smith and Agnes B’s mens wear. I really would.
