Home Ground – Curtin 2009 graduate parade vol2
Just continuing my favourite collections from Home Ground – Curtin’s Fashion, textile, and jewellery students. Kathryn Bell’s birdcage inspired designs were a lot of fun. Tiered black tulle dresses with wild tights are a way to go this season.
Erin Larkin was another girl crush material. I never thought anything ‘cape’ is was sexy. Here with Erin Larkin it is sexy.
Daniella Caputi’s garments had really interesting details but I don’t know what they are actually. Were they folded paper or cotton? Wish I asked Daniella. I’d love that jacket and the maxi dress and the short dress.. oh hell with it. I want them all.
This was the most exciting collection of all I think. There were lots of people gasping for air at the beginning -you’d guess why- then it got better with umbrellas.
I think we found another fabulous costume designer from Curtin. Rebecca Timson showed who’s boss with the biggest dress.
There were lots more colourful and wonderful work by other students which can be seen in my other site – Base East Gallery, Facebook (Vol1, Vol2 Vol3 and Vol4), or Flickr.
It’s been a quite a hectic year for all of us. I think an outfit post with a new pair of shoes from Betts is in order. What do you think?
