It's funny I know. Talking about the Sci-Fi show Terminator and fashion at the same time. I've watched the whole seasons 1 and 2 during my sick leave (with my cracked rib) only to find out Fox TV canned the project and there won't be season 3. Bitter taste - why why.. on the other hand Fox decided to go with Dollhouse, D'huh. Don't get me wrong. It's not the world best Sci-Fi show but I quite enjoyed it despite all of the annoying holes in the story line and bloody action scenes. It's heaps better than Dollhouse I can tell you that.
Interestingly, I noticed what each main character was wearing more so than what was happening in the story. I wasn't the only one paying attention. Quite a few people are after the boots worn by Sarah herself and Cameron (the machine). Yeah, they were cool but what I was most interested in was what Shirley Manson's character was wearing all throughout season 2.
Sadly, I couldn't find anything about where her simple and very sharply tailored costumes came from. As T1000, Manson's character is indestructible and so are her clothes. That is not the quality we can obtain in real life. Not quit yet anyway.
I came across emily ryan on Etsy. Not the same sharpness I found in Manson's wardrobe in the show but I quite like them as they are somewhat sci-fi. Well, this has been a quite a random post. Granted. I hope it will be less random tomorrow.

Great post, I was/am a big fan of the show. I am gutted that they canceled it. It seems as if Fox does that a lot to good shows.
Anyways I definitely paid attention to what the characters were wearing. I think the show did a great job of showing the personality of them with the clothes they wore, especially shirleys. They were beautiful, business like and never really gave away anything, just like her character.
Ok I could ramble about this show forever.

You can definitely see the similarity, even in terms of the color palette. I never watched this show, but my husband is a huge Terminator fan. If we had cable, he would have been obsessed, I'm sure.
The spirograph-esque pattern on the light grey dress is really cool....
