Skattwalk 2009 – Animals, Blackhole & High Fashion trends
Saving the best for the last? To be honest, the whole show was spectacular but for some strange reason I’m partial to the very last show with big hair-dos and white dresses. It epitomises what skattwalk is all about I think – Hair, make-up and fashion. That said, I did have a great time listening to my favourite Muse’s Super massive Black Hole while the black scissor handed monsters terrorising everyone. Of course, there were fluorescent super heroes to rescue us all from falling through the black hole.
I just hope that I get better at shooting fashion shows. It’s a bit of a hit and miss at the moment. For this show, the lighting changed at every theme and models’ faces weren’t lit up properly so some shots just came out dark, duh, when my flash was used it got all over exposed, duh. I will get better at this. Well, if you remember my photos from the last year’s Perth Fashion Festival you will know what I’m mean. I’m already much much better than before. Thank goodness for that. I cannot bear to look at those photos any more.
What’s next? One on one with Lisa Grinceri, Skatt’s Director. I also have some yummy photos of Skatt Northbridge.
Watch your back, the animals have escaped and gone crazy.
