Neckpieces heaven – Pinchandspoon by Isobel Macaulay

Posted by on Apr 8, 2009 in 2009, Markets

I met Isobel at one of the chica day gatherings. I knew that she was a ‘neck piece’ designer but I was busy exchanging small talks so I didn’t think much of it at the time.

A few months past since then. Guess who I came across at Unwrapped South Perth last week? Isobel with her Pinchandspoon collection.

Luxurious materials (raw silk, Japanese silk, cotton, vintage lace, freshwater pearls, swarovski crystals and Stirling silver) are used for many and she also creates neck pieces from rescued vintage garments.

Do you like what you see here? She recently launched a website and she is already getting lots of attention – requests to have more stuff in the site etc.. Still a little light in the content department but I love the look of the site. As you all know I rarely say anything positive about other websites. She gets my brownie points for getting it right at least with the style.

She has a wicked sense of style as you can see. Look at her groovy hairdo. Now, I just need to find an excuse to wear that show stopper of a neck piece to work.

Isobel’s creation is available in a quirky little shop called Behind the Monkey in Highgate. I’ll have to pay a visit to Behind the Monkey myself.

Some people can totally pull off wild looks like these.

I know it sounds crazy, but I think these neck-pieces would make me look fat LOL

I am proud to say that I have one of her pieces and I love it. I always wear simple stuff but team it with one of her neck pieces…. Brilliant!!
