Jailhouse Frock by Asthma Foundation 2009

I take my hat off to Jailhouse Frock organisers specially to Kate Van Saane who single-handedly coordinated the event. Sure, it wasn’t the most polished fashion event I’ve ever been to but the weed mat covered back drop and white plastic chairs didn’t distract me from gorgeous clothes once the lights went out and music started to fill the Fremantle Prison’s East Work Room.

After all, this was a charity event. People were getting fed and there was no shortage of wine and beer so that with that high spirit people could spend their hard earned money for bidding on all kinds of memorabilia and fashion items for a good cause – helping Asthma Foundation.

While I was sipping my water and going around taking some shots before the show I met gorgeously dressed Kate and took a happy snap.

The two-part show was brilliant. I was tired at the end of the night though. I was there from 6:30pm and stayed there until 11pm. Interestingly, a couple of professional media photographers were only there to take some ‘media’ shots and buggered off way before the end of the event. Haha.. maybe they know when they have a good shot or two as all they really need is a couple to go with an article. I’m too greedy though I can’t just walk away with a couple. You will find out soon. I had quite a few and I finally processed them all this morning. As usual, I’ll try to do some nice collages for my collage fans. Have a great weekend and here’s a little teaser.
