skattwalk 2009 and iPhone

Just a quick update before I hit the sack.

I just came back from Skattwalk 2009. My computer is currently downloading 900 images from my Nikon D50. I won’t bore you with that amount of photos. You know my drill. Almost the three quarter of those will be culled. Expect a week long (or two weeks even) coverage of the show. The amount of photos shows how long the actual show was. It was entertaining although a little too long to stand behind a camera shooting. I’m utterly shattered and hoping to have some warm tea before bed.

This photos has been just ‘processed’ (no photoshoping involved.. shown as shot and I just added the border in Picasa) . A sneak peek of Skattwalk 2009. I was there at the backstage. This is what I took before I got told off by some ‘official people’ that the shooting area wasn’t for media. Duh.

Boring news. I succumbed to the current trend and got myself an iPhone. I knew about the battery problem – a full charge may not give you a whole day of heavy usage – but didn’t know how bad. It was flat at around 7 pm after using it quite actively since 9am this morning. It’s a good device though.

Another boring news. I can hear fireworks and I can also see it from our bedroom.. the end of Fiesta (South Perth Festival 2009). We’ve come full circle it seems. I’ll be out in Mends street covering Unwrapped South Perth tomorrow. If you do catch me.. come and say hello although I may well seem a little agitated from not having enough sleep!
