Here we come South Perth

I’ve been pretending as if all things are normal. It really hasn’t been the case at all. While I’ve been waxing lyrical about the Hong Kong Fashion Week FW 2009 I’ve also been packing all my shit into boxes after boxes.. endless line of boxes. I had to decide which magazines to keep and what to chuck. painful and agonising process I must say.

Then there’s also the fact that I’ve done this a number of times for overseas relocations so I should be good at it and I actually am I found out. So I guess that’s one of the reasons why I’ve been able to blog away happily surrounded by mountainous boxes and not perturbed by them at all.

We are moving to South Perth from a coastal suburb of Kallaroo. It’s a lovely place with nice homes but anyone who knows me wonders what I’m doing in a typical suburb. Whatever the reason is I’m a city girl. Grew up in a city where all things happening just outside the front door (not after a 30minute drive). South Perth will be different. I can actually see the CBD across the river just after a few minutes of walking.

Style Discovery decided to downsize and move into a smaller townhouse although it’s going cost a fortune to move just 25 km down the freeway. We will also be ‘tenants’ for the first time in Australia. It will save us from a lot grief -having to drive up and down the freeway everyday.

Perth being a sunny and clear city we don’t get spectacular sunsets that often. That rare occasion did happen last night so my guy dragged me away from packing and we went out to a local beach. Come to think of it we haven’t been down there for over a year before that.

Here I give you some sunset shots. Nothing special for some but very special for us, Perthnites.

Whitfords Beach

You now know what’s coming then – yes there might be some interruptions. I will be quiet online and no virtual abuses for those who are used to me calling out ‘you idiot’ or ‘bugger off’ or ‘piss off’. You will hear none of that for a few days.

These are such gorgeous photos! In L.A. we rarely have sunsets that beautiful – usually they are obscured by the omnipresent layers of smog. :P
And good luck with your move, too!
