Bitter & Sweet by Moon-Hee Lee

I warned you about this a long time ago when I was doing the remote reporting of Seoul Fashion week SS 09. I 'unfairly' favoured a designer, Moon-Hee Lee. I don't suppose you'd remember that and if you do that would freak me out. My promise was simple - just showing you what I've been hiding and drooling over secretly in the dark corner of my study.

Bitter & Sweet's F/W 2008 collection has everything to make me happy. a)colours -all black + red accents b) lines - slouch, figure hugging and drapery c)drama - it's heart achingly beautiful and it shows more drama than you poke a stick at. I feel very bitter & sweet. It is obviously based in Seoul and I'm down here in Perth. We are also heading into summer. I had to have the air conditioner on in my car for the first time since winter. It's heating up nicely and I'm dreaming of a black hair piece and a coat from bitter & sweet bitterly. {click the image to see it bigger!}

If you like the look of these check out the website. The runway show video(under the catwalk menu) is more than I hoped for. I suggest you try that only if you have a super fast internet connection.

Wow! Spectacular collection, I can see why you favoured it indeed! All black can be boring, but not this time, love the different forms, shapes, and layers! :)

And thanks for your comment, I'm glad I could challenge you, cause I actually kind of use my blog to challenge myself half the time! ;)

Love the lack of colors. Beautiful on so many levels.

I keep forgetting that it's summer time in Australia.

Really beautiful: dark, elegant, minimal, feminine and yet not at all over done.

Such a great blend of feminine/romantic and tough. I'm partial to the bottom right look - loves me a bolero!

Oh this is good. This is very, very good.

Usually I dislike monochrome, but something about the shapes here works for me.

Black=SEXY :) hehe, I can't believe you have AC on...it seems to strange that someone is having summer while we are freezing here in TO...:)
Songy, do you like Yohji Yamamoto, she used so much black in her 2009 Spring collection?

Despite the lack of colour (I had to say that LOL) I really like this collection.
Very goth... reminds me my goth period (lol yes, I had a goth period... I know doesn't seem ;))

Take care, beauty.

(have any kind of flash in your blog? because I can't see it at my office. It gives me a message saying that IE found a problem and it's going to shut.
We have a lot of firewals and we can't see Youtube stuff or things that require flashplayer.
Just curious, dear, because I check you at home)
