Dressing Songy No4 – Intro to beige patent
I’m not much of a ‘patent’ girl so I need to learn how to wear these without resorting to all white or all beige extravaganza. I trust your ability to guide me through this arduous exercise. If you are new to ‘Dressing Songy‘, please peruse the previous sessions and the rules.
Let’s hear it. What say you?

November 12, 2008I love the “nude” look – another similarly hued item like a camel or skin-tone dress would be fab!

November 12, 2008Like CC, I like nude with nude. I also like it with brown and navy. I am a big patent fan. Love beige patent otherwise I feel like beige just looks blah on me.

November 12, 2008I love the pale colour, I would go with medium to dark clothing, so biscuit browns and navy

November 12, 2008Monochrome beige look? I just imagine a beige winter look of piled on layers…but it doesn’t really suit the shoes…I’m just cold as I type.
THE HOUSE OF STYLE
November 12, 2008i like clothes horse idea.i will take it a step further… so lots of almost non colours(pastels perhaps)…think ecru, grey, mint etc loose garments. so start with a loose maxi dress in one of those colours then pair over it a loose cardi in another non colour type garment ,could be a loose cardi and so on dear. so make it a loose unstructured look with lots of yummy pastels and mild colours, mix different pastels together for a calm look. Think Jill sander and her muted palette.whatever you wear i know you will look fab!

November 12, 2008I actually wear a ridiculous amount of beigey colours (bags, shoes etc)
I think it looks really good with pale blues and greys.

November 12, 2008I would wear them with white men’s trousers, a skinny shirt and many many golden necklaces for a glamourous and retro style!

November 12, 2008Here’s my idea: Don’t figure out how to wear them. Send them to me!!
(These are FANTASTIC)
Oh, and they’d look great with navy opaque tights in fall or with a pleated dancing skirt (knee length, chiffon-y)

November 13, 2008OOOOOh, Season 4 of Dressing Songy, I’m so excited!!
I’d probably wear them with a faded pair of old jeans and a fancy sleeveless lace top and long necklaces… that’d be my first draft anyway.

November 13, 2008Oh, I love nude shoes! T these are so simple & classic, gorgeous!
The beauty of 'nude' is that you can wear them with pretty much any colour (especially bold tones)! It'd look gorgeous with a patterned dress too! Something easy & flowy, or a shirt-dress (maybe even a bit of YSL'ish safari look with a patterned scarf at the waist for interest).

November 13, 2008I vote for contrast. Let the beige shoe extend your leg, much as it does for Angelina in that post on Savvy Mode’s blog. Contrast with black, brown, navy, mulberry, grey, purple, green, the list goes on and on.

November 13, 2008Ooo lovely shoes. I have a pair of beige heels (non-patent) that I would wear in the summer as “nude” so that my legs look a bit longer. For winter I think an all-beige look or a chocolate-brown dress!
Let us know how it goes!

November 13, 2008they’re a neutral color so they could go with virtually anything.
and true what enc says because of the skintone-ish color they extend your leg.
yoon see
November 13, 2008The great fact of this light beige sandal is comfortable to wear and easy to match.
It will definitely be a good buy:)

November 13, 2008Mmm… I would go street syle. With blue denim skinny jeans & a basic white tea. Tossled hair and a small tan cross-body bag with thin straps. Urban chic
