Marian from the House of Style wrote to me a few days ago. She wanted to know how she could find out how many people are visiting her blog. I figured it would be good to set up Google Analytics and Feedburner for her blog so I did that for her expecting nothing in return. As I always say I’m a geek who likes to help. I then found out that she wanted to change her blog template. So I did just that and made some changes here and there. No biggie really.
As most of you may know, Marian is a fabulous stylist with lovely personality to match, ending all her helpful and insightful comments with her signature kiss ‘Muah’. She did something incredible for me. Today, I received a package from her. That turned out to be a gorgeous black halter neck dress from Dorothy Perkins. Thank you, Marian. You spoilt me rotten for that little thing I did for you. I had to madly find things to match with this dress. Luckily I found an apporpriate necklace and heels. I hope I did okay. I sure don’t want to disappoint the stylist!
I must confess. This is my very first LBD. Yes, really. I never had a dress like this one before. This will stay with me for a long time as long as I don’ gain any kilos since my butt barely managed to get through… after that it was a perfect fit!
Also, a little bosom adjustment created a nice cleaveage (which I don’t usually have) without a bra. Magic!
I’m sure there are so many styles I could try with this dress. I think a rock&roll look was what Marian was hoping for me to achieve with this. I don’t have much in that department so I’ll have to make some purchases. Any other suggesions? By the way, ‘Dressing Songy No 4′ is coming your way. Excited? I sure am.

Songy you loook terrific in it! you pleased the stylist indeed.oh and you see it as little but helping with all that technical stuff(which is like spanish to me ;o) meant so much to me especialy when we live in such a busy world. Im so grateful!
sexy shoes with the dress my dear.it looks terrific on you!
saw it and thought of you as your figure is perfect for it.
Oh and you can have lots of fun with it.
layer it with jeans and flat boots for a casual look,
with heels like in your images for a night out.. the opportunities are endless.
You do me proud in that dress! ;o)
kisses!
Muah,
Marian
What a great dress, Songy, and what a great story.
You look stunning in that dress and I love clothes that come with a story and this dress certainly does come with a great story…
I know you keep saying that you’re just a geek who likes to help but the truth is that your help is so valuable to us who know nothing about IT.
I’d like to let everyone know that you’ve been of great help to me, too. I know I haven’t done every single upgrade you suggested, but that’s only because I haven’t had much time lately.
Thank you Songy, I really appreciate your help!
I am gonna go check out Marian’s site now.
Karma is a lovely thing and that, Songy, is a brilliant first LBD. You must know that it is rare to find such a perfect LBD. So, don’t expect everyone to be so fantastic. Really, it is perfection on you.
